A friend of mine recommended this book for me so usually I don't read Fantasy novels. However, I really enjoyed this one. The beginning was a bit slow but it picked up and got right into the story. I was on vacation but could not put the book down until I finished it. The main characters were interesting enough to make you want to keep reading, and the plot thickens the deeper you read. All in All I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good Fantasy story with great plot, good characters and awesome action. Can't wait to see what this author has in store for the future.Product details

This book has a great story line and loved reading about the characters and seeing how their lives intertwined. Talk about an entirely different view point and a great science fiction read with some truly relate-able elements. The only part that I missed in this book is some language development of the characters. Often times they sounded so much alike it was difficult to finish and a bit of a shadow on the book for me. That said, I had to know what happened to them. Looking forward to the next book. I hope to see a little more character development across the board- stronger bits of personality, and insight to Aria's thought process. She comes across as barbaric towards the end when the beginning of the book gave us much more about her. Recommended for fans of new world type science fiction.
Well written and thought out.a book endings is complete yet leaving to want more.Don't do many of these but this one is special.

Why change names of greek gods? But showing them as a sparring race is a great twist. Story in segments is too cliche. But moves well and has some nice twists.
A primitive society meets an advanced technological race of very distant cousins. As is usually the case the advanced wish to dominate and exploit their lessors. Good world building here with interesting societal dynamics.
Pretty well written story that explores space and the creation of human race. I stayed engaged throughout the book, and I have no doubt that you will too. However, I would say that this is a story for a younger reader. As an adult I would have liked to have seen a more mature approach to answering the age-old questions about why we exist and how we got started.
This is a fun ride! Edwins takes Ancient Astronaut theory on a tangent and brings us into a world of self-proclaimed gods who suffer from greed, anger, and political infighting. It's unclear who the good guys are, but we follow the two human protagonists as they try to determine what kinds of pawns they are in a galactic chess game. I'm looking forward to the sequel and hope it arrives soon! I read the version which had a few typos, although nothing egregious.
